Make some sales on your product
Hello,
It has been a year now I want to buy your product, specially a muted Uni directionnal mod mic for my Sennheiser 598. Since there's only one reseller in Canada for your product, the price is always high. 65$ for a mic is pretty expensive unless the sound quality is very very great. You can get a good on-table mic for that price. I'd like to try your products but instead I buy cheap 5$ microphone from Zalman. I bought 2 and i've been using it for a year now and it did the job. I would prefer a…1 vote -
Greater portability for road-warriors.
Hi. Modmic is awesome. I've been telling all my colleagues: consultants who spend 40+ weeks a year on the road, and who constantly take conference calls in airports, taxis, cafes, etc. We're all hooked on Bose and similar noise-cancelling headphones. So, Modmic is the perfect way to keep our Bose QC 15/25 and add similar quality to the audio input.
(We've all tried the $400-$500 bluetooth headphones, but the microphones are terrible. Not acceptable for work calls, especially not in a public space.)
But while some people are instantly sold on my modmic rig, others look at the cables and…

Color Options
Color options.. People will pay crazy amounts of $ just to keep a color scheme. or 2 tone modifications (magnetic holder, mic foam)

Braided cable
make a version of the mod mic with nylon braided cables, it would greatly increase the quality in terms of looks and feel (if not the actual cable quality), also great match with other high end peripherals

Upgrade or switch to a softer more flexible cord
Love the modmic 4 that I have. Only thing I would change is the flexibility of the cord. It would nice to have a cord with a much softer, less brittle feeling rubber. For example like the cabling on my AKG K612 Pro headphones. This would make the mic cord hang much straighter and lie flatter on the desk when in use. It would also allow it to more easily follow the contour of the headphone cord when attached with the modmic clips.

Detachable Cable + adapter cable
The only issue with your attachable microphone is the added cable. Having two cables dangling off of your headphones is just messy and a pain in the behind!
My Suggestion!
First, make the cable detachable using a standard 3.5mm jack that will also carry stereo audio, left, right and mic like in most cell phones. (TRRS).
Second, build and sell very short adapter cable for the most common headphone connections, 3.5mm, 2.5mm and mini XLR to connect the headphone to the microphone, and therefore only having to deal with one cable hanging off of the headphone/microphone.Sure this would only…

Make a one cable solution
The two cable solution has been off putting to me, so i have a normal gaming headset. However, with all of these headphones with detachable cables, why not make the mod mic a pass through, so the sound passes through it it one cable to the end into 2 3.5mm jacks (or one 4 tab jack maybe) so that all the headphones with a detachable cable, only need one cable for the mic and audio.
Headset>mod mic>one cable>2 3.5mm jacks

Find another method of shipping
Ordering a week before Christmas day and having it delivered the 29th is unacceptable. Ordered online from several other retailers the same time and they all arrived within 3-4 days. Customers expect better service. Thank you.

Broadcast quality / professional version
I would really like to see a broadcast / professional grade version of Modmic in the future. Something like Sennheiser HMD 26-II, only in modmic form, not with the flat response headphones attached to it.
It could come with a XLR-plug or with an in-line USB phantom power amp / connector.

Make it cheaper!
I really want to buy your microphone but it'll cost almost as much as I bought my actual headphones for (the Sennheiser 558s). Or just have more sales!
Thanks

More sticky circles please!
Just give us a bag of these things! I don't want to wash mine with soap and dry it...seems like too much work.

Boom rotation and design
two areas for improvements:
1. the boom itself feels too short when used with my headphones. There's limited room on the back of the headphones where i can attach the mic, limiting the reach. I ended up extending the length of the boom by unclasping it from the attachment, but tried to keep the bend at the end as recommended. A longer boom would make it easier to maneuver and eliminate this issue.
2. the rotation of the attachment is fixed at two angles. If a click rotation could be added to the attachment this would enable me to bring…1 vote -
Add a product tracking section to the website
I was browsing native shoes website and as you scroll to the bottom, you can click a link allowing you to track your order. I ordered my modmic thru PayPal, so I have no way to track my purchase -_-

Base Clasp cover when ModMic is not attached
I've noticed there is no solution to cover the base clasp adhered to the headphones if I am taking them out around town or on a trip that does not need the mic itself. I don't want to keep ripping off and ordering clasps. A simple 'cover' for the clasp would be great to just stick on when the mic is not needed. One just like the one attached to the microphone would do just fine and look pretty neat with the Antlion logo on it.
Thanks! I love this product!

Desktop mic stand
Quoted from a customer's email:
"...it would be cool if there was an additional product that was a stand/tripod that the mic could be attached to which would turn it into a desktop mic. Not sure if its feasible but just thought I would pitch the idea.

Wire safety clip similar to the v3 design.
In the image below I have outlined the safety clip that is used on the v3 version of the modmic but it no longer exists on the v4 anymore.

In my opinion I still prefer the v3 instead of the v4 because I use a office chair which makes it very easy to run over the wire. This helps from damaging the cable.

Make Wireless
Hey, I love your product, it is great, but I think you should make the option to have a USB plug in so it is wireless. You could plug the USB into the computer then, just like a wireless mouse it would work without the wire!!!
